University Foundation Course
Business Management
Offered in conjunction with Buckswood School, this programme is designed for those who need a solid year’s academic study in the English Language in order to prepare them fully for UK university entry. The course is business-based: Business Management provides the core elements supported with Business English, IELTS preparation and UCAS advice.
Upon successful completion the University Foundation Course provides fast track entry on to Royal Holloway, University of London BA Hons courses.
Royal Holloway, is widely regarded as one of the UK’s leading teaching institutions. It has a very cosmopolitan community, with students from over 120 countries,there is a strong emphasis on support and development of individual students.
The campus is just 19 miles west of central London, it offers a unique environment for university study.
Students attend lectures at the recently opened University Centre Hastings. This is part a Univeristy setting, with students attending BA(Hons) course’s being taught by Brighton University. It is fully equipped with all the latest computing facilities and an excellent resource centre.

Fast Track A Levels
This course is designed to students wishing to take 3 or 4 A levels in one academic year. Students are taught in small classes and can take advantage of the excellent resources, including internet access. Subjects offered are Mathematics, Physics and Chinese (or other language). Entry Requirements
Min 5.5 IELTS, good Maths GCSE or equivalent.
International Baccalaureate
The International Baccalaureate is a challenging, broad-based diploma wherein students take six subjects and are not expected to study on three or four subjects over a two year period. Click here for more information.
English and Academic Preparation Coursess
General English
This course totals 15 hours of tuition per week and takes place on weekday mornings. Educational materials are supplied to students and the focus is on the essentials of grammar, comprehension, vocabulary and pronunciation. Reading, writing, speaking and presentation skills are all emphasised. The afternoons and evenings can be taken up with various sporting and recreational activities. Students may register for academic year stays from as short as two weeks through to one whole year. Long-term students will be prepared for formal external examinations, either the Cambridge International suite of exams (from KET to CPE) and/or IELTS depending upon their academic aims. Students have access to the internet for EFL self-access, including recommended reading and listening comprehension exercises and interactive resources. “English in Action”, with role play, consolidates and re-animates classroom learning.
Intensive English
This course totals 21 hours of tuition per week and takes place on weekday mornings and early afternoons. It encompasses the General English course plus extra vocabulary and pronunciation. Fluency and cultural awareness are also taught. The evenings are taken up with various sporting and recreational activities. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in regular study visits to places of historical and cultural interest such as Bodiam Castle, or practise their English in “market research” projects perhaps at Europe’s biggest shopping centre, Bluewater, only an hour’s drive away. Whether you decide to study a general or an intensive course we aim to make your language learning experience both personal and invigorating.
